Richard Castle, der Autor mehrerer Erfolgsromane, wurde vor allem durch die nach ihm benannte TV-Serie „Castle“ (in Deutschland bei Kabel 1) bekannt. Dort begleitet er die New Yorker Polizistin Kate Beckett. Die in der Serie recherchierten Dinge schlachtet er für die Abenteuer seiner neuen Romanfigur Nikki Heat aus, so z. B. eine Fesselung, die Richard Castle in der Serie an sich selbst ausprobiert hat.
Cross Cult freut sich, den charmanten Thrillerautor in seinem Romanprogramm begrüßen zu können.
Schon im März 2012 geht es los mit „Heat Wave“.

Die Romane werden zeitgleich auch als E-Books veröffentlicht.
Beide bisher in den USA bei der Disney-Tochter ABC Books/Hyperion erschienen Nikki-Heat-Romane schafften es 2010 in die Top 10 der New-York-Times-Bestsellerliste! Derzeit läuft die dritte Staffel der beliebten TV-Serie „Castle“ auf Kabel 1 – die Ausstrahlung der vierten Staffel ist für 2012 geplant.

Irgendwie bin ich zu blöd um diese Meldung zu verstehen.
Dachte bisher "Castle" wäre eine Kunstfigur dargestellt von "Nathan Fillion" aus der gleichnamigen Krimiserie?
Könnte mir da jemand mal weiterhelfen? Bin jetzt irgendwie leicht verwirrt.

Stimmt, "Castle" ist der Names des Charakters gespielt von Nathan Fillion. Und da dieser Charakter nun einmal ein Autor ist, hat man fürs Marketing überlegt gehabt, dass man dann auch Bücher unter diesem Pseudonym heraus bringen kann.
Das Gleiche gab es auch damals zur ersten Staffel 24 mit "Ermittlungsakte CTU", wo quasi die Nachbesprechung der Ereignisse aus Season 1 von einem fiktiven Journalisten zusammengetragen wurde.

Der Fernsehsender hat die Bücher unter dem Autorennamen Richard Castle veröffentlicht. Der wirkliche Autor ist nicht bekannt, und ABC wird sich da mit Sicherheit bedeckt halten.
Es soll im September 2011 noch ein 3. Teil erscheinen, sowie ein Comic mit den Abenteuern von Derrek Storm. Diesen Romanhelden ließ Castle am Anfang in der Fernsehserie sterben. Was ihm in der Serie viele Fans übel nahmen und seine Schrifttellerkollegen sehr verwundert hatte.

Castle ist auch eine Kunstfigur... Und das hier sind die Bücher, die diese Kunstfigur in der Serie geschrieben hat.
Im großen und ganzen ist das ein Gag für die Fans der Serie. Zum Ende von Staffel 1 kam "Heat Wave" raus, bei Staffel 2 dann "Naked Heat" und bei Staffel 3 erscheint bald "Heat Rises". Die Bücher kommen soweit ich weiß immer recht zeitgleich mit der Veröffentlichung IN der Serie.
