"Farscape" ab Januar auf Sci Fi
Der deutsche Sci Fi Channel zeigt die Kultserie "Farscape" ab Januar 2004 im Zweikanalton und die 4. Staffel als deutsche TV-Premiere
Für seinen neuen Science Fiction-Sender Sci Fi hat Universal Studios Networks erstmals einen Programmvertrag mit der EM.TV & Merchandising AG abgeschlossen. Der Deal beinhaltet alle vier Staffeln der Kultserie "Farscape - Verschollen im All" (1999-2003), einer Koproduktion der Jim Henson Company, Hallmark Entertainment, Nine Films and Television und des amerikanischen Sci-Fi Channel.
Sci Fi strahlt die Staffeln 1-3 ab 12. Januar 2004 aus, jeweils montags bis donnerstags um 20.15 Uhr, und das im Zweikanalton - eine Premiere für den Sender. Die lang ersehnte vierte Staffel, die bislang noch nie im deutschen Fernsehen zu sehen war, ist für Mai 2004 in der englischen Originalversion eingeplant.
"Mit Sci Fi haben wir eine ideale Plattform für die Ausstrahlung von 'Farscape' gefunden" sagt Dr. Matthias Schulze von EM.TV. "Die Serie hat bei Science Fiction-Fans mittlerweile Kultstatus erreicht. Langjährige 'Farscape'-Fans werden sich freuen, nun endlich auch die vierte Staffel im deutschen Fernsehen sehen zu können."
Corinna Scholz, Programmdirektorin bei Universal Networks Studio ist sehr zufrieden mit diesem Deal. "Wir freuen uns sehr, mit 'Farscape' unseren Zuschauern endlich einen großen Wunsch erfüllen zu können. Die Serie ist ein Programm-Highlight für unseren Sender und im Zweikanalton ein Erlebnis für jeden Fan."

Die Nachricht (vor allem bezüglich der 4. Staffel) ist natürlich toll; wenn ich aber richtig verstanden habe, gilt der Zweikanalton (englisch/deutsch wahlweise) nur für die ersten drei Seasons, die vierte n u r in Englisch.
Meiner Meinung nach ist das für diejenigen, deren letzter Englischunterricht schon das eine oder andere Jährchen her ist, nicht gerade ideal, denn dann versteht man zwar etwas (gelernt hat man es ja doch), aber man versteht eben nicht mehr alles.
Dass ein neuer Sender noch keine eigenen Sachen produzieren kann ist ja verständlich, aber die Kosten für ein Synchronstudio sollten schon drin sein.
