Leipziger Buchmesse ein Nachbericht

Auch in diesem Jahr hat die Leipziger Buchmesse wieder einmal gezeigt, dass sie einfach persönlicher und gemütlicher als ihr Frankfurter Pendant ist.
Leipzig konnte neben den ganzen Verlagen, die mit einem Stand vertreten waren, auch mit einem umfangreichen Programm aus Autorenlesungen, Buchvorstellungen, Cosplay, Autogrammstunden und Diskussionsrunden aufwarten, so dass man als interessierter Besucher eigentlich ohne weiteres mehr als nur einen Tag dort verbringen konnte.
Aber selbst wenn man die ganzen vier Tage dort verbracht hätte, man hätte dennoch nicht alles mitbekommen, da viele Veranstaltungen parallel zueinander liefen.
Auch, wenn man nur an bestimmten Genres wie Fantasy, Science Fiction oder Mangas Interesse hatte, wurde man mehr als ausreichend bedient.
So waren unter anderem die bekannten deutschen Fantasy-Autoren Wolfgang Hohlbein, Markus Heitz, Kai Meyer, Bernhard Hennen und Ju Honisch (allesamt übrigens auch Gäste der letzten Ring-Con) mit Lesungen aus ihren aktuellen Werken und Signierstunden zu Gast, die meisten von ihnen auf der Leseinsel Fantasy in Halle 2.

Aber auch andererorts wurde auf der Buchmesse vorgelesen, wobei die Organisatoren am Sonntag bei der Gestaltung der Programmabfolge aber nicht aufgepasst hatten.
Anders ist es nicht zu erklären, das die Lesung von Gothic-Autor Christian von Aster, der Passagen aus dem Zombie-Roman von Isaac Marion Mein fahler Freund vorlas, zwischen zwei an eine deutlich jüngere Zielgruppe gerichtete Lesungen gelegt wurde, deren Publikum aber trotz Warnungen von C. v. Aster, dass der folgende Text nicht unbedingt kindergeeignet war, nicht von dannen zog.
So lauschten die Kinder also nach einem Was ist Was Vortrag mit Gewinnspiel und vor der Lesung des Märchens vom kleinen Löwen den Gedanken und Lebensgewohnheiten eines Zombies und bekamen unter anderem auch eine detaillierte Beschreibung der Essgewohnheiten der Untoten geliefert, was dann schon nicht nur bei den Kindern für einige verzerrte Gesichter sorgte.

Insgesamt war die Lesung höchst interessant und auch die Info, dass die Filmrechte an dem Roman schon verkauft sind, dürfte Fans romantischer Horror-Stories freuen, denn der titelgebende Protagonist verliebt sich nämlich.
Also nach Vampir-/Werwolf-Romanzen kommt nun eine Zombie-Romanze, wobei die aber mit Sicherheit nicht so harmlos wie Twilight sein dürfte, wenn die Filmemacher das Werk originalgetreu umsetzen.
Doch es gab noch viele weitere Highlights auf der Leipziger Buchmesse 2011, wie z.B. die mehr als gut besuchte Cosplay-/Manga-Show in Halle 2, bei der unzählige kostümierte Manga- & Comic-Fans zu sehen waren.

Auch Batman war unter den Anwesenden. Insgesamt hörte man von vielen, dass man die Buchmesse am besten wie eine Convention betrachten sollte, wenn man möglichst viel mitbekommen möchte. Stargäste gab es in Form der anwesenden Autoren und diverser anderer Promis, die ihr neuestes Buch vorstellten, zur Genüge.
Kult-Ikone Bud Spencer, dessen Biographie auf der Buchmesse präsentiert wurde, hat es zwar nicht nach Leipzig geschafft, aber dafür gibt er im April in drei deutschen Städten eine Autogrammstunde.

Bevor im nächsten Jahr die nächste Leipziger Buchmesse vom 15. – 18. März 2012 stattfindet, steht vom 12. - 16. Oktober erst einmal das Frankfurter Pendant an.
